BioShock adalah permainan video penembak orang pertama yang dikembangkan oleh Irrational Games-di bawah nama 2K Boston/2K Australia-dan direka oleh Ken Levine. Ia dikeluarkan untuk sistem operasi Windows dan konsol Xbox 360 pada tarikh 21 Ogos 2007 di Amerika Utara, dan tiga hari kemudian di Eropah dan Australia. Versi PlayStation 3 telah dibangunkan oleh 2K Marin dan telah dikeluarkan secara antarabangsa pada tarikh 17 Oktober 2008 dan di Amerika Utara pada tarikh 21 Oktober 2008 dengan beberapa ciri-ciri tambahan.Ia telah boleh didapati pada Steam (perisian) pada tarikh 21 Ogos 2007. Permainan ini juga dikeluarkan untuk sistem operasi Mac OS X pada tarikh 7 Oktober 2009. Sebuah versi daripada permainan untuk pelantar mobile saat ini sedang dibangunkan oleh IG Fun.Sebuah sekuel, BioShock 2, dikeluarkan pada tarikh 9 Februari 2010 .
