David William Duchovny (lahir 7 Ogos 1960) merupakan pelakon Amerika Syarikat yang telah memenangi dua kali Anugerah Golden Globe, dikenali menerusi peranan sebagai agen FBI Fox Mulder menerusi The X-Files dan Californication.[1]

[sunting] Kehidupan awal
Duchovny dilahirkan di New York City, New York, anak kepada Margaret "Meg", seorang pentadbir sekolah dan guri, dan Amram Ducovny (1927-2003),[2] seorang penulis yang bekerja untuk Ahlijawatankuasa Yahudi Amerika.[3][4][5] Keturunan Duchovny adalah dari Yahudi Rusia dan ibunya merupakan pendatang dari Scotland.[6][7][8] Bapanya membuang huruf "h" dalam nama keluarga kerana sering menyukarkan penyebutan.[3] Adik-beradik beliau adalah Daniel dan Laurie Duchovny. Beliau memasuki The Sekolah Lelaki Collegiate di Manhattan dan merupakan graduat dari Universiti Princeton.[4] Beliau juga graduan dari Universiti Yale.

Duchovny muncul dalam iklan untuk minuman keras Löwenbräu pada tahun 1987. Beliau turut muncul sebanyak dua babak menerusi Working Girl (1988).
