My name is TheDuck, inspired from what my niece calls me.
My Interests[sunting | sunting sumber]
My interests are varied, given my meandering career path and wildly diverging pastimes. Here they are, in no particular order;
- humanitarian work, accountability mechanisms, governance, places of detention, politics of aid
- positive psychology, personal development, interpersonal relations, introspection
- social media, communication, whistleblowing (anonymous or otherwise)
- intersectionality, women's issues, Islam, syariah law
- English and Malay literature
- local history and points of interest, and finally
- translating content - to and from - English and Malay.
Why write for Wikipedia?[sunting | sunting sumber]
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘When a man dies, his deeds come to an end, but three:
1. recurring charity,
2. or knowledge (by which people) benefit,
3. or a pious off-spring, who prays for him (for the deceased).’
