Gerakan rumah mongel
Gerakan rumah mongel (turut dikenali sebagai gerakan rumah kecil)[1] ialah sebuah gerakan seni bina dan sosial yang menggalakkan pengurangan dan penyederhanaan ruang kediaman.[2][3][4] Rumah mongel dipromosikan sebagai pilihan yang lebih murah dan terkadang mesra alam dalam pasaran perumahan, serta sebagai pilihan perumahan untuk individu tuna wisma.[5][6] Namun, kekurangan ciri yang jelas serta isu perundangan di banyak tempat boleh menimbulkan masalah pemilikan, termasuk kos keluasan yang lebih tinggi, kerentanan terhadap bencana alam, kekurangan ruang simpanan, kesukaran untuk menerima tetamu, kekurangan atau ketiadaan peralatan rumah tradisional, serta isu perundangan dan penzonan.[7]

By placing greater emphasis on quality living, personalization, an environmental ethic, and community values, the tiny house subverts the consumer-based mindset. Culturally, what the tiny house does is simple: it creates an opportunity outside the norms of society where people can understand that the value of the environment and human interaction is much greater than the value of material goods.
