Institut Teknologi India Madras (IIT Madras atau IIT-M) ialah sebuah universiti teknikal awam yang terletak di Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Ia adalah salah satu daripada lapan Institut Kecemerlangan awam India. Sebagai Institut Teknologi India (IIT), IIT Madras juga diiktiraf sebagai Institut Kepentingan Negara. [5]
Ditubuhkan pada tahun 1959 dan ia adalah Institut Teknologi India ketiga yang ditubuhkan oleh Kerajaan India . [6] [7] IIT Madras secara konsisten telah disenaraikan sebagai institut kejuruteraan terbaik di India oleh Rangka Kerja Penarafan Institusi Kebangsaan Kementerian Pendidikan sejak permulaan ranking pada 2016.
