Jerome David Salinger (19 Januari 1919 - 27 Januari 2010) merupakan seorang penulis terkenal dari Amerika Syarikat.
Beliau sering menulis mengenai watak-watak remaja dalam bahasa yang dianggap berterus-terang mengenai sifat mereka serta pandangan mengenai perasaan yang dipendami watak seusia ini.[4][5]
Novel The Catcher in the Rye nukilannya menjadikan beliau sangat masyhur serta diikuti orang ramai, sehingga beliau terpaksa mengasingkan dirinya dan jarang memunculkan diri di khalayak ramai. Malah, beliau kali terakhir muncul untuk diwawancarakan pada 1980 sebelum menghilangkan diri sehinggalah kematian beliau pada tahun 2010.
