Seharusnya judul tulisan ini ialah Perbezaan antara Bahasa Malaysia dan Bahasa Indonesia kerana Bahasa Indonesia adalah sebahagian daripada Bahasa Melayu bukan? 141.213.240.242 03:33, 23 Januari 2006 (UTC)[balas]

I've changed the text "Bahasa Melayu Indonesia" to "Bahasa Indonesia", because that difference can only be found between Bahasa Melayu Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia. Malay people in Indonesia (in some provinces of Sumatra and Kalimantan) speaks similarly to Malay Malaysians.
Whenever my friends from Province of Riau and Province of West Kalimantan speak with their friends from back home, they sound like Malaysians. They also speak "ape, kenape, mane, etc". So, the way people speak Bahasa Melayu Indonesia and Bahasa Melayu Malaysia is basically the same. When they are with people outside of Malay ethnicity, though, they would speak only "normal" Bahasa Indonesia as accepted by other Indonesians. This is due to the fact that regional dialects and accents are frowned upon in Indonesian's inter-ethnicity social life.Jiwa Matahari 04:48, 27 Mac 2007 (UTC)[balas]
Bagaimana dengan logat Melayu Deli (sekitar kota Medan)? Rasanya cukup berbeda dengan Melayu Semenanjung.--Gombang 13:12, 28 Ogos 2007 (UTC)[balas]
