Sistem perundangan Singapura berdasarkan sistem common law Inggeris. Bidang utama undang-undang – terutamanya undang-undang pentadbiran, undang-undang kontrak, ekuiti dan undang-undang amanah, undang-undang harta dan undang-undang tort – sebahagian besar dibuat oleh hakim, walaupun aspek tertentu kini telah diubah suai setakat tertentu oleh statut. Walau bagaimanapun, bidang undang-undang yang lain, seperti undang-undang jenayah, undang-undang syarikat dan undang-undang keluarga, hampir sama sekali berkanun sifatnya.
