John Davies Cale, (Order of the British Empire-OBE) (lahir 9 March 1942) merupakan pemuzik, pengubah lagu-penyanyi dan pengeluar rekod dan ahli pengasas rock experimen kumpulan The Velvet Underground.

Sungguhpun lebih dikenali bagi karyanya dalam muzik rock, Cale telah berkarya dalam pelbagai genre termasuk muzik drone dan muzik klasik. Sejak keluar dari Velvet Underground pada tahun 1968 dia telah membebaskan sekitar 30 album. Dari karya solonya, Cale kemungkinan paling dikenali bagi albumnya Paris 1919, dan versi cover Leonard Cohen, "Hallelujah", termasuk album trilogi Island Records pertengahan 1970-an: Fear , Slow Dazzle, dan Helen of Troy.
