Otot

Otot merupakan jalinan jaringan dalam tubuh yang tugas utamanya mengucup. Pengucupan otot digunakan untuk memindahkan bahagian-bahagian tubuh dalam tubuh.

Secara umum, terdapat tiga jenis otot:

          a) otot skeletal
          b) otot kardiak
          c) otot licin

Otot jantung

Otot pada jantung ini bekerja secara terus-menerus tanpa henti. Pergerakannya tidak dipengaruhi saraf tunjang, tetapi lebih kepada pengaruh hormon.
