Pentamerone atau Lo cunto de li cunti overo lo trattenemiento de peccerille (The Tale of Tales, or Entertainment for Little Ones) merupakan koleksi cerita dongeng abad ke-17 oleh Giambattista Basile. Koleksi ini terdiri daripada sebuah cerita bingkai dan 49 buah cerita dongeng. Sepuluh orang wanita tua menceritakan kisah dongeng selama lima hari.

Terjemahan

Teks ini telah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Jerman oleh Felix Liebrecht (1846); ke dalam bahasa Inggeris oleh John Edward Taylor (1847) dan Sir Richard Francis Burton pada tahun 1893. Teks ini juga telah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Itali oleh Benedetto Croce (1925), sebelum versi Croce ini diterjemahkan oleh Norman N. Penzer pada tahun 1934 ke dalam bahasa Inggeris. Terjemahan moden telah dilakukan oleh Nancy L. Canepa yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2007 oleh Wayne State University Press, sebelum diterbitkan oleh Penguin Classics (2016).

Adaptasi

Pada tahun 2015, pengarah Matteo Garrone telah menerbitkan filem Tale of Tales, yang mana secara umumnya berkisarkan kisah-kisah dari koleksi ini.
