A retired fighter from WWII Phi-US Army Infantry, USAFFE (U.S. Armed Forces in the Far East) has had his name permanently etched in list #1 War Heroes into WWII History at Sabah State Museum.
Ex 2nd Lt. Imam Marajukin L. Ahad, ASN 209264 began his military career in 2nd Replacement Co.1st Replacement Battalion, Philippine Army, Apo #72 San Jase, Leyte Philippine & Div.Loc.Section No.3 Team II Apo 707, 125th Infantry Regiment 10th Military District, Bat[1]o-Bato Philippine.
After Second World War, he imigrated to Sabah and took on the Malaysian Nationality.
The one & only Sabahan and Malaysian who recently had his name & photos at The National Purple Heart Hall Of Honor, New York City, USA.
Both monuments recognizes individuals who had a passion for or received special achievements against the enemies.
Imam was officially certified as heroism in ground combat on Borneo, Tawi-Tawi, Sulu Archipelago, Philippine Islands & Pacific War during World War Two.
