Penggunaan

{{US$|123.45}} menghasilkan US$123.45 (dengan tiada ruang di antara US$ dan nilai).

Pengiraan inflasi

The template now supports calculation of inflation. A second parameter can be used to specify a year between 1913 and 2009 and will calculate the relative value in 2010.

A third parameter about will cause the template to calculate to the nearest dollar instead of the nearest cent. This can be activated by typing about=yes.

Contoh:

• {{US$|10|1935}} → US$10 ($160.05 in 2024)
• {{US$|10|1935|round=0}} → US$10 ($160 in 2024)
• {{US$|1000|1935|round=2}} → US$1,000 ($16,004.87 in 2024)
• {{US$|1000|1935|round=-2}} → US$1,000 ($16,000 in 2024)

The link parameter may be used to link US$ to the article United States dollar. This is turned off by default, but may be appropriate for the first occurrence of the term in an article.
