Ligan kemokin (motif C-X-C) 7 (CXCL7) ialah gen manusia.[4] Protein terkod itu ialah sitokina kecil yang tergolong dalam keluarga kemokina CXC dan merupakan salah satu isobentuk protein Beta-Tromboglobulin atau protein asas pro-platelet (PPBP).[5]
CXCL7 ialah protein yang dibebaskan pada jumlah yang besar oleh platelet, selepas pengaktifannya.[6] Ia merangsangkan berbagai-bagai proses, termasuk: [7][8]
- mitogenesis;
- metabolisme glukosa;
- sintesis matriks luar sel; dan
- sinthesis pengaktif plasminogen.
