After his dad passed away in 2007, Wan Adi had trouble paying his college fees because he did not apply for student loans prior to that event. He took part-time jobs as an actor/talent to pay off his college fee. That was when he slowly began to understand the industry. In 2010, he was offered to be a part-time casting assistant in a production house to support his college fees and his family. He graduated with flying colours from Segi University in 2012 and was hired as a Casting Manager & Casting director. He had done more than 1000 TV commercial projects in Malaysia. In 2014 he was called by Biscuit Films for an interview to be absorbed in Netlix's team to work on a UK series called Marco Polo, Season 1. There were hundreds of applicants who went to the interview but he was the one who got to secure the position as Malaysian Casting Associate, which was one of the highest local rankings in the team. There he managed to help roughly 9000 people to be a part of the series. He had been all over Johor and Singapore to cast and provide opportunities to those people. In 2015, he had been called for an interview to manage a casting department for a Hong Kong film called 'Operation Mekong' and again, became the only bumiputera that held the highest rank in a film; Casting Director. During that time, he had provided opportunities to thousands of people to become a part of the film. In 2016, he was hired by a VIP in Malaysia to produce a film called 'Misi Operasi X' as an Executive Producer. Since then he managed to direct several movies. He took an IQ test in 2019 and managed to score 183. It took a lot of effort for him to be who he is today. Where he had to get involved in the company's politics, was looked down upon by people, but he knew that he had to stay positive and believe in himself. He tried to do his best, faced his problems, and solved it. He strongly believed that every problem has solutions. Just stay positive and be patient.;

Wan Adi said that his success today was mainly because of his family and their contribution to help pay off some of his college fees. His biggest thanks went to his mother, Datin Marinee for her sacrifices in raising him and his wife, Nadiah Binti Zeker Hussein for continuous support; Passion in the industry; Wan Adi loves to help people and wanted to help the industry in order to bring it to the same level as Hollywood or as good as the international level; Wan Adi was holding to the saying of "We create something not for us to live forever, but to create something that will live forever";
