Janette Oke

Janette Oke (lahir 18 Februari, 1935) merupakan penulis dari Kanada. Jenette Steeves dilahirkan dalam tahun depresi di Champion, Alberta dalam keluarga petani.

Beliau tamat belajar daro Mountain View Bible College di Didsbury, Alberta. Janette bertemu suaminya Edward Oke ketika kedua-dua mereka masih di kolej dan berkahwin pada tahun 1957. Mereka dikurniakan empat orang anak termasuk sepasang kembar. . Anak perempuan beliau, Lauren Oke Logan, merupakan penulis bersekutu dengan Janette.

Novel pertama beliau, bertajuk Love Comes Softly, diterbitkan oleh Bethany House pada 1979.

Adaptasi

Banyak daripada siri "Love Comes Softly" beliau telah diterjemahkan dalam bentuk drama untuk siaran Hallmark Channel.
