Dalam tahun 1950-an dan 1960-an, perdebatan ideologi antara parti-parti komunis USSR dan China juga bimbang kemungkinan kehidupan yang aman dengan Barat kapitalis. Namun , untuk rakyat China , Mao Zedong dicadangkan sikap yang berperang terhadap negara-negara kapitalis , satu penolakan awal kehidupan yang aman , yang dia melihat revisionisme sebagai Marxsis dari Kesatuan Soviet dibawah Khruschev.

Perpecahan China-Soviet (1960-1989) adalah kemerosotan hubungan politik dan ideologi di antara negera-negera jiran Republik Rakyat China (PRC) dan Kesatuan Republik Sosialis Soviet ( USSR) semasa Perang Dingin. Pada tahun 1960 , China dan Kesatuan Soviet merupakan dua negara komunis terbesar di dunia. Pencaran doktrin berasal dari kepentingan negara China dan Rusia , dan dari tafsiran rejim yang berbeza Marxsisme- Leninisme.
