Lemon Sky Studios adalah sebuah studio CGI yang menghasilkan karya seni untuk animasi dan permainan video yang berpusat di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Studio ini paling dikenali untuk penyumberan luar animasi dan seni bagi permainan video AAA seperti Final Fantasy VII Remake, Resident Evil Resistance, Warcraft III: Reforged, StarCraft: Remastered, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Marvel's Spider-Man, dan Gears of War 5.[2] Studio ini juga membuat kerja untuk siri animasi seperti TruckTown[3] dan Middle School Moguls bagi Nickelodeon. [4] Lemon Sky telah diperoleh iCandy Interactive pada November 2021. [5]

Pada tahun 2010, Lemon Sky Studios diasaskan secara rasmi oleh Cheng-Fei Wong dan Ken Foong. [6]
Pada tahun 2014, Lemon Sky menandatangani memorandum persefahaman dengan Bandai Namco Singapore untuk memudahkan perkongsian dalam pengembangan bersama bagi permainan di masa depan. [7]
Pada tahun 2015, Lemon Sky membuka cawangan pejabat baru di Pulau Pinang, Malaysia, yang kini menempatkan lebih daripada 30 artis.
Pada tahun 2017, Lemon Sky meraikan ulang tahunnya dengan mengadakan acara yang disebut "Hello Lemon Sky" di mana orang ramai dijemput ke studio dalam perayaan semua karya studio dalam industri seni dan animasi setakat ini. [8]
Pada tahun 2018, Lemon Sky memulakan siri animasi asalnya yang pertama: AstroLOLogy [9] - satu siri pendek animasi komedi yang menampilkan 12 watak yang masing-masing mewakili versi bergaya tanda bintang zodiak barat. [10] Sejak April 2020, AstroLOLogy telah mendapat sambutan lebih dari 566,000 langganan di saluran YouTube rasminya. [11] AstroLOLogy sejak itu memenangi banyak anugerah dari pelbagai media antarabangsa dan festival filem. [12] [13] [14]
Pada tahun 2019, Lemon Sky memenangi anugerah Exporter of the Year di Malaysian Export Excellence Awards 2019. [15]
LemonSky Studios telah diperoleh oleh iCandy Interactive dengan harga RM135 million pada November 2021. [16]

Pasukan produksi Lemon Sky terdiri daripada lebih 350 artis dan kakitangan produksi. [17]
Ibu pejabat studio ini terletak di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, dengan cawangan tambahan yang terletak di bandar Pulau Pinang .
Pengasas studio, Cheng-Fei Wong bertindak sebagai Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif manakala Ken Foong bertindak sebagai Ketua Pegawai Kreatif studio.

Kritikan dan kontroversi[sunting | sunting sumber]
Pada tahun 2021, sebuah pendedahan mendakwa Lemon Sky Studio telah mengeksploitasi para pekerja dengan pekerjaan lebih masa tanpa bayaran tambahan. Bekas pekerja dan pekerja dalam pendedahan tersebut mengeluarkan testimoni berkenaan waktu pekerjaan yang dikatakan sebagai crunch ("mampat") disebabkan oleh tempoh ketat yang telah ditentukan oleh studio permainan video luar negara.[24] Lemon Sky sejak itu telah mengeluarkan kenyataan media yang menafikan tuduhan tersebut.[25]
