Original name of Selising[sunting sumber]
I understand the name Selising originated from a beetle called Kesing thus eventually became selising.
Interestingly, the other rubber shop was named Chop Sin Joo and operated by my father Lua Boon Khay also known locally as Towkeh Kerani.
There is also coffee shop run by Dr Lua Hock Bue's father in law and hand over to his son. I am sure Kok Jin, or Siput can update further on the input of the Chinese community in Selising.
