Sam Richardson (lahir 12 Januari 1984) merupakan seorang pelakon, pelawak, penulis, dan penerbit Amerika Syarikat. Beliau terkenal menerusi watak sebagai Richard Splett dalam siri komedi politik HBO Veep (2012–2019), yang dicipta bersama dan membintangi bersama dalam siri komedi Comedy Central Detroiters (2017–2018) bersama Tim Robinson, dan memainkan pelbagai watak dalam rancangan Netflix I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson (2019–sekarang), dan membintangi The Afterparty (2022).
Kehidupan awal[sunting | sunting sumber]
Richardson dilahirkan di Detroit pada 12 Januari 1984, [1] [2] anak kepada ibu berbangsa Ghana dan bapanya pula Afrika-Amerika. [3] [4] Ibu saudaranya ialah Barbara-Rose Collins (née Richardson), yang pada tahun 1990 menjadi wanita kulit hitam pertama dari Michigan yang dipilih ke Kongres Amerika Syarikat . [5] [6] Sekali atau dua kali setahun, Richardson akan pergi bersama ibu bapanya ke Ghana, di mana datuknya adalah ketua dan pemimpin politik tempatan. [7] Beliau graduan dari Sekolah Tinggi dan Akademi Jesuit Universiti Detroit pada tahun 2002, [8] dan belajar teater di Wayne State University . [9] [10]
