Penerangan[sunting sumber]
Templat metadata ini memautkan rencana Wikipedia ke pelbagai sistem katalog perpustakaan (dan lain-lain), untuk biografi dan topik lain.
Templat ini mengambil kebanyakan nilainya daripada Wikidata, tetapi ia boleh ditindih oleh data yang dimasukkan secara setempat. Menambah data pada Wikidata adalah lebih baik.
Jika tiada maklumat dalam Wikidata untuk subjek tertentu, contoh kosong templat ini akan menjadi tidak aktif, bermakna ia tidak akan kelihatan pada halaman yang diberikan. Oleh itu, menggunakan templat ini pada halaman tanpa maklumat pihak berkuasa adalah tidak berbahaya.
Contoh kosong templat ini kekal tidak aktif dalam artikel, sehingga nilai ditambahkan pada Wikidata, apabila ia akan memaparkannya, jadi templat ini harus ditambahkan pada semua biografi, sama ada sudah terdapat pengecam kawalan kuasa dalam Wikidata.

Templat juga boleh diletakkan pada halaman pengguna, tetapi kemudian data mesti dimasukkan secara setempat.
Jenis data[sunting sumber]
Kandungan Wikidata digunakan sebagai sandaran untuk semua pengecam.
Templat mengesahkan digit untuk semua nilai dan menunjukkan ralat jika semakan gagal.
Jika boleh, templat juga menjana pautan ke WorldCat Identities, menggunakan nilai VIAF atau LCCN, atau secara manual melalui |WORLDCATID=.

Sebagai templat metadata, templat kawalan kewibawaan hendaklah diletakkan selepas bahagian pautan luar dan templat navigasi, betul-betul sebelum kategori.
Penggunaan[sunting sumber]
Sebagai garis panduan umum:
- 1: masukkan versi kosong,
- 2: klik "Paparkan pralihat" untuk melihat sumber yang ditarik secara automatik daripada Wikidata,
- 3a: jika anda mengetahui lebih banyak sumber, tambahkannya dalam templat menggunakan parameter namanya,
- 3b: sebagai alternatif, pertimbangkan untuk menambah sumber tersebut pada "item Wikidata" rencana, supaya semua versi Wikipedia akan mendapat manfaat secara automatik.
Selain nama parameter huruf bercampur yang disenaraikan pada halaman ini, templat juga menyokong nama alias semua huruf kecil bagi semua parameter (kecuali yang tidak digunakan).
