Joseph Leonard Goldstein ForMemRS (lahir 18 April 1940) ialah ahli biokimia Amerika. Beliau menerima Hadiah Nobel dalam Fisiologi atau Perubatan pada tahun 1985, bersama dengan penyelidik Universiti Texas, Michael Stuart Brown, untuk kajian mereka mengenai kolesterol.[1] Mereka mendapati bahawa sel manusia mempunyai reseptor lipoprotein berkepekatan rendah (LDL) yang menghilangkan kolesterol dari darah dan apabila reseptor LDL tidak hadir dalam bilangan yang mencukupi, individu-individu akan mengalami hiperkolesterolemia dan menjadi berisiko untuk penyakit berkaitan kolesterol, terutamanya jantung koronari penyakit.[2] Kajian mereka membawa kepada perkembangan ubat statin.[3][4][5]
