Kailash Satyarthi (lahir 'Kailash Sharma'; 11 Januari 1954)[7] merupakan peguam bela untuk hak dan pendidikan kanak-kanak serta aktivis yang menentang buruh kanak-kanak dari India.[6][8] Beliau mengasaskan Bachpan Bachao Andolan (Save the Childhood Movement) pada tahun 1980 dan telah bertindak melindungi hak lebih daripada 83,000 kanak-kanak dari 144 buah negara.[9][10]

Nama asal beliau adalah Kailash Sharma, dilahirkan pada 11 Januari 1954 di Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, India.[1][2]

Beliau telah belajar di sekolah menengah tinggi kerajaan,[3] dan menamatkan ijazahnya dalam bidang kejuruteraan elektrikal[2] di Institut Teknologi Samrat Ashok, Vidisha[1][3][4] dan pascasiswazah dalam kejuruteraan voltan tinggi. Beliau kemudiannya menyertai kolej di Bhopal sebagai pensyarah selama beberapa tahun.[11]

Pada 1980, beliau melepaskan kerjaya sebagai jurutera dan menjadi Setiausaha Agong Bandhua Mukti Morcha; dan menubuhkan Bachpan Bachao Andolan (Save the Childhood Movement) pada tahun yang sama.[12][13] Kerja-kerja kemasyarakatan beliau diiktiraf di peringkat kebangsaan mahupun antarabangsa termasuk menerima Hadiah Keamanan Nobel 2014 bersama-sama Malala Yousafzai dari Pakistan.[14]

Perbincangan mengenai pengharaman buruh kanak-kanak mula dibangkitkan setelah Satyarthi menerima Hadiah Nobel.
