AirAsia Berhad (MYX: 5099) ialah syarikat penerbangan tambang murah berpengkalan di Malaysia. AirAsia merupakan syarikat penerbangan tambang murah pertama di Asia.[4] Kumpulan AirAsia beroperasi penerbangan antarabangsa dan tempatan ke lebih 400 destinasi merentasi 25 negara. Hab utamanya ialah LCCT di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA). Syarikat penerbangan gabungannya Thai AirAsia, Philippines AirAsia dan AirAsia Japan mempunyai hab masing-masing di Lapangan Terbang Suvarnabhumi, Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Clark dan Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Narita. Pejabat berdaftar AirAsia terletak di Petaling Jaya, Selangor manakala ibu pejabatnya di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur.[5][6]

AirAsia beroperasi dengan kos unit paling rendah di dunia iaitu AS $ 0.023 setiap kilometer (ASK) dan faktor beban penumpang sebanyak 52%. Ia telah melindung nilai 100% keperluan bahan api untuk tiga tahun akan datang, mencapai masa pemulihan pesawat selama 30 minit, mempunyai tahap produktiviti kru yang lebih rendah daripada Malaysia Airlines dan mempunyai kadar penggunaan pesawat purata 60 jam sehari.[7] Pada tahun 2007, The New York Times menyifatkan syarikat penerbangan itu sebagai "perintis" perjalanan kos rendah di Asia.[8] AirAsia ialah penaja pasukan bola sepak kebangsaan Malaysia, pasukan bola sepak kebangsaan Singapura, Jamshedpur FC dan Queens Park Rangers. AirAsia juga ialah bekas penaja Manchester United dan Asia Red Tour.

AirAsia telah dinamakan sebagai pengangkut kos rendah terbaik dunia selama 10 tahun berturut-turut dalam anugerah pelancongan dan penerbangan antarabangsa, termasuk anugerah terbaru untuk 2018.[9]

Misi AirAsia ialah untuk membolehkan semua orang terbang. Sejak tahun 2001, kami telah memberikan perkhidmatan bertaraf dunia dengan harga tambang rendah kepada lebih daripada 600 juta tetamu di seluruh Kawasan Asia Pasifik, membuktikan bahawa kos rendah tidak bermaksud kualiti rendah dan perjalanan udara tidak semestinya mahal. Penubuhan[sunting | sunting sumber]

Skema warna AirAsia yang asli pada tahun 1990-an, menunjukkan garis cheat biru dan hijau dengan logo helang putih pada Boeing 737-300.

AirAsia ditubuhkan pada 1993 dan mula operasi pada 18 November 1996. Ia pada asalnya diasaskan oleh sebuah konglomerat kerajaan Malaysia, DRB-HICOM. Pada 2 Disember 2001 syarikat penerbangan yang banyak berhutang telah dibeli oleh syarikat Tony Fernandes Tune Air Sdn Bhd, bekas eksekutif Time Warner untuk jumlah harga satu Ringgit Malaysia dengan hutang berjumlah USD 11 juta (MYR 40 juta). Fernandes berpusing sekitar syarikat, menghasilkan keuntungan pada 2002 dan melancarkan laluan baru dari habnya di Kuala Lumpur, menjejaskan bekas pengendali monopoli Penerbangan Malaysia dengan tambang promosi serendah MYR 1 (USD 0.27).

Penerbangan antarabangsa[sunting | sunting sumber]

Pada 2003, AirAsia membuka hab kedua mereka di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Senai, Johor Bahru berdekatan Singapura dan melancarkan penerbangan antarabangsa pertama ke Bangkok. Kemudiannya, Thai AirAsia ditubuhkan bagi operasi penerbangan dari Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Don Muang Bangkok, Thailand. Di Indonesia, AirAsia membeli Awair untuk sektor Indonesia, dan sekarang dikenali sebagai Indonesia AirAsia.

Pada 22 Julai 2005 AirAsia mengumumkan pakatan penajaan dengan kelab bola sepak Manchester United yang menyaksikan iklan AirAsia muncul di Stadium Old Trafford di kota Manchester yang membolehkan pendedahan jenamanya kepada berjuta-juta penonton televisyen di seluruh dunia.

Terminal penerbangan tambang rendah (LCCT) yang dibuka di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur pada 23 Mac 2006, dijadikan pusat operasi baru bagi AirAsia. AirAsia dijangka membawa 9 juta penumpang pada tahun 2006.

Pada Ogos 2006, AirAsia mengambil alih laluan Rural Air Service Penerbangan Malaysia di Sabah dan Sarawak, beroperasi bawah jenama FlyAsianXpress. Laluan-laluan tersebut kemudiannya dikembalikan kepada MASwings setahun kemudian, atas sebab-sebab komersial. CEO AirAsia Tony Fernandes kemudiannya mendedahkan satu rancangan lima tahun bagi meningkatkan kehadirannya di Asia.[11] Di bawah rancangan itu, AirAsia bercadang untuk mengukuhkan dan meningkatkan rangkaian laluannya dengan menghubungi semua bandar raya sedia ada di rantau ini dan berkembang lebih lanjut ke Vietnam, Indonesia, (Kunming, Xiamen, Shenzhen) dan India. Syarikat penerbangan akan fokus dalam membangun habnya di Bangkok dan Jakarta melalui syarikat-syarikat kakaknya, Thai AirAsia dan Indonesia AirAsia. Dengan meningkatkan frekuensi dan tambahan laluan baru, AirAsia menjangka jumlah penumpang mencapai 18 juta sebelum akhir 2007.

Firma memperkenalkan watak Ace baru kepada penonton di Singapura, Malaysia, Filipina dan Indonesia.

Nickelodeon Asia telah bergabung dengan AirAsia untuk melancarkan kempen pelbagai wilayah dan pelbagai platform, yang telah dirancang untuk mendidik anak-anak mengenai destinasi dan budaya penerbangan dan Asia yang bertanggungjawab.

Maskot superhero - Ace - telah dibuat untuk SkyRider Club AirAsia. Kanak-kanak akan dapat mengikuti petualangan di seluruh Asia, mendapatkan pengetahuan mengenai adat istiadat tempatan dan belajar mengenai aktiviti mesra kanak-kanak di beberapa destinasi AirAsia.

Kepentingan keselamatan penerbangan akan ditunjukkan melalui kandungan on-air dan dalam talian yang dihasilkan oleh Nickelodeon dan acara darat di Singapura dan Filipina.

Sepanjang kempen, pertandingan akan diadakan, menawarkan perjalanan untuk empat ke destinasi teratas AirAsia. Hadiah lain akan ditawarkan kepada penonton Nickelodeon dan ahli SkyRider Club.

Tempat TV berbilang bahasa memperkenalkan Ace kepada penonton Nickelodeon, sementara firma itu juga menghasilkan sepuluh acara sekolah di Singapura yang memberi peluang kepada anak-anak untuk bertemu Ace, Spongebob Squarepants dan Patrick Starfish.

Acara di darat akan menyusul, yang menampilkan Ace sebagai sebahagian daripada acara Halloween tahunan Nickelodeon pada bulan Oktober dan acara musim panas pada bulan April 2013.

Pada bulan September dan Oktober, satu siri sketsa khas - Passport Around Asia - akan memperlihatkan Ace berinteraksi dengan duta kecil tempatan di beberapa destinasi Air Asia. Ace Adventures, satu siri cerita animasi tentang watak dan usahanya untuk mengumpulkan permata ajaib di seluruh dunia, memerangi penjahat di sepanjang jalan, juga akan tayang perdana pada akhir tahun 2012.

"Dengan bekerjasama dengan AirAsia, penonton Nickelodeon akan diperkenalkan ke beberapa destinasi paling menarik di dunia dan juga mendapat banyak idea mengenai cara membuatnya menyenangkan bagi semua orang," kata Indra Suharjono, EVP dan MD, Viacom International Media Networks Asia . "Ini sangat sesuai untuk kami, dan kami menantikan kedatangan Ace dan ribuan ahli SkyRider Club untuk pengembaraan ini."[12]

AirAsia China[sunting | sunting sumber]

Pada bulan Mei 2017, China Everbright Group, Henan Working Group dan AirAsia Berhad telah mengumumkan penandatanganan Memorandum Persefahaman untuk mewujudkan syarikat penerbangan tambang rendah di China sebagai usaha sama. AirAsia China akan berpusat di Zhengzhou, ibu kota provinsi Henan, di mana syarikat penerbangan tambang rendah baru juga merancang untuk membina terminal penerbangan tambang rendah khusus, akademi latihan penerbangan dan kemudahan MRO.[13]

Walau bagaimanapun, usaha sama itu telah berakhir pada tahun 2018 kerana perjanjian awal yang tidak mengikat itu berlaku selama 12 bulan dan tidak diperbaharui oleh pihak berkaitan ketika tamat.[14]

AirAsia Vietnam[sunting | sunting sumber]

Pada 31 Mac 2017, AirAsia menyatakan kepada Bursa Saham Malaysia bahawa mereka merancang untuk menubuhkan syarikat penerbangan bajet baru di Vietnam dalam usaha sama dengan rakan-rakan Vietnam.[15]

Pada 6 Disember 2018, AirAsia menegaskan semula niatnya untuk menubuhkan syarikat penerbangan tambang rendah (JV) di Vietnam dengan menandatangani memorandum kerjasama dengan rakan Vietnam - Syarikat Saham Perjalanan Thien Minh dan Syarikat Saham Bersama Hai Au Aviation.[16] Usaha sama itu dijangka memulakan perkhidmatan pada bulan Ogos 2019.[17]

AirAsia India[sunting | sunting sumber]

Pada bulan Oktober 2012, pihak pengurusan Air Asia mengatakan mereka ingin memiliki lebih banyak kehadiran di India jika lingkungan penerbangan dan struktur pajak kondusif dan ramah untuk operasi syarikat penerbangan tambang rendah. Dengan Kerajaan India yang baru membenarkan pelaburan langsung asing hingga 49% dalam sektor penerbangan, CEO syarikat penerbangan Tony Fernandes tweet "" Berita hebat bahawa India telah membuka pelaburan kepada syarikat penerbangan asing. " Dia mengatakan bahawa sekarang lebih mudah baginya untuk menubuhkan syarikat penerbangan di India.[18] Tony Fernandes memanggil usaha sama dengan Tata Sons. Dia mengatakan bahawa orang Tatas sangat mengenali India dan mempunyai reputasi yang baik. Hubungan dengan syarikat akan membantu AirAsia beroperasi dengan cekap. Fernandes mengatakan bahawa dia akan menumpukan perhatian pada satu juta orang India selatan yang melakukan perjalanan dengan kereta api.[19][20] AirAsia mengumumkan syarikat penerbangan gabungan rendah India pada 19 Februari 2013. Syarikat penerbangan ini akan dikendalikan sebagai usaha sama, dengan AirAsia memegang 49% syarikat penerbangan itu. Arun Bhatia mengambil 21% dan Tata Sons selebihnya 30% kepentingan dalam syarikat penerbangan. Usaha sama itu juga menandakan kepulangan Tata Sons ke industri penerbangan setelah 60 tahun.[21][22] AirAsia adalah syarikat penerbangan asing pertama yang menubuhkan syarikat penerbangan gabungan di India.[23] Syarikat penerbangan ini beribu pejabat di Chennai[24] dan merancang untuk menjadikan Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Chennai sebagai habnya. Kemudian, hab utama syarikat penerbangan dipindahkan ke Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kempegowda, Bangalore.[25][26] Penerbangan sulung usaha India AirAsia di laluan Bangalore - Goa bermula pada 12 Jun 2014.[27] Syarikat penerbangan itu mengumumkan bahawa Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Indira Gandhi, Delhi akan menjadi pusat operasi India Utara.[28]

AirAsia Japan[sunting | sunting sumber]

AirAsia dan syarikat penerbangan rangkaian Jepun All Nippon Airways mengumumkan usaha sama mereka pada sidang media di Tokyo pada 21 Julai 2011.[29] Setelah penubuhannya pada bulan Ogos 2011, AirAsia Jepun melakukan penerbangan pertamanya pada bulan Ogos 2012. [29] AirAsia Jepun adalah syarikat penerbangan tambang rendah pertama yang berpusat di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Narita. Pembentukannya diumumkan hanya beberapa bulan setelah ANA mengumumkan penubuhan Peach, syarikat penerbangan tambang rendah yang berpusat di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kansai di Osaka, dan bersama usaha bersamaan oleh Japan Airlines untuk menubuhkan syarikat gabungan kos rendah. ANA dipilih untuk bekerjasama dengan syarikat penerbangan tambang rendah yang ada untuk kecekapan dan kelebihan strategik.[30] Ia adalah syarikat penerbangan gabungan kelima untuk AirAsia dan kesembilan untuk ANA. Syarikat penerbangan ini beribu pejabat di ANA di Tokyo, dengan pangkalan operasi utamanya di Narita, dan melayani destinasi domestik, menggunakan jenama dan model perkhidmatan AirAsia. [29] Destinasi antarabangsa yang dirancang masa depan termasuk Filipina, Korea Selatan, dan Taiwan.[31][32]

AirAsia Jepun menamatkan operasinya pada 27 Oktober 2013 setelah mengumumkan pembubaran usaha sama pada Jun 2013.[33]

Dalam siaran akhbar pada 1 Julai 2014 AirAsia mengumumkan pelancaran semula jenama AirAsia Jepun. Penerbangan pertama dijadualkan berlepas pada musim panas 2015,[34] tetapi sebaliknya ditangguhkan. AirAsia Jepun akhirnya dilancarkan semula pada 29 Oktober 2017, dengan 2 penerbangan hariannya dari Nagoya ke Sapporo.

Thai AirAsia & Thai AirAsia X[sunting | sunting sumber]

Thai AirAsia (bahasa Thai: ไทยแอร์เอเชีย) ditubuhkan pada 8 Disember 2003 sebagai usahasama dengan Shin Corporation. Pengendalian penerbangan bermula pada 13 Januari 2004 dari tapaknya di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Don Muang. Sejak 25 September 2006, syarikat ini bertapak di tempat barunya di Lapangan Terbang Suvarnabhumi.

Thai AirAsia X adalah syarikat penerbangan tambang rendah jarak jauh pertama di Thailand. Ia dijadualkan untuk beroperasi pada bulan Jun 2014. Setelah melancarkan pelancaran yang telah direncanakan untuk suku pertama, Thai AirAsia X akan melancarkan perkhidmatan sulungnya dari Bangkok ke Incheon, Korea Selatan pada 17 Jun dan kemudian memulakan penerbangan tetap ke Jepun Lapangan Terbang Narita di Tokyo dan Osaka sekitar bulan Julai.[35]

Indonesia AirAsia & Indonesia AirAsia X[sunting | sunting sumber]

AirAsia mengambil alih syarikat Awair yang ketika itu gulung tikar pada 2004 dengan 49% pegangan saham dalam syarikat tersebut. Awair memulakan operasi bagi pihak AirAsia pada Disember 2004; penjenamaan semula sepenuhnya kepada Indonesia AirAsia selesai pada 1 Disember 2005. Syarikat ini bertapak di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Soekarno-Hatta.

Indonesia AirAsia X adalah usaha sama AirAsia X. Ia melayani penerbangan antarabangsa jarak jauh Indonesia AirAsia yang dijadualkan secara tetap dari Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Ngurah Rai Bali. Indonesia AirAsia X melancarkan penerbangan pertamanya ke Taipei pada 29 Januari 2015.

Syarikat penerbangan tambang rendah Indonesia AirAsia nampaknya akan berhenti beroperasi sebagai syarikat penerbangan mandiri, dan digabungkan dengan anak syarikat AirAsia, Indonesia AirAsia X.[36]

Philippines AirAsia[sunting | sunting sumber]

Philippines AirAsia adalah usaha sama antara pelabur Filipina dan AirAsia. Kumpulan Filipina termasuk Antonio Cojuangco, Jr, Yancy Mckhel Mejia, bekas pemilik Syarikat Penyiaran Bersekutu dengan stesen televisyen utama TV5, Michael Romero, pemaju harta tanah dan pengendali pelabuhan, dan Marianne Hontiveros. Usaha sama itu diluluskan pada 7 Disember 2010 oleh Lembaga Pelaburan, sebuah agensi di Filipina yang bertanggungjawab untuk pelaburan tiket besar. AirAsia Zest Airways, Inc., yang beroperasi sebagai AirAsia Zest (sebelumnya Asian Spirit, dan Zest Air), adalah usaha sama antara AirAsia & AMY Holdings Inc., syarikat yang memiliki syarikat Zest-O di Filipina. Ia mengendalikan perkhidmatan pelancongan domestik dan antarabangsa yang dijadualkan, terutamanya perkhidmatan pengumpan yang menghubungkan Manila dan Cebu dengan 24 destinasi domestik untuk menyokong operasi laluan trak syarikat penerbangan lain. Pada tahun 2013, syarikat penerbangan tersebut menjadi syarikat penerbangan bersama AirAsia Filipina yang mengendalikan jenama mereka secara berasingan. Pangkalan utamanya adalah di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Ninoy Aquino, Manila, dan dengan hub di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Mactan-Cebu, Cebu. Syarikat penerbangan ini ditubuhkan sebagai Asian Spirit, syarikat penerbangan pertama di Filipina yang dikendalikan sebagai koperasi. Ia dijenamakan semula ke Zest Air pada bulan Mac 2008. Pada 16 Ogos 2013, Lembaga Penerbangan Awam Filipina (CAAP), badan pengatur Pemerintah Republik Filipina untuk penerbangan awam, menangguhkan penerbangan Zest Air sehingga diberitahu kelak kerana masalah keselamatan.[37] Kurang dari setahun selepas pakatan strategik AirAsia dan Zest Air, kedua syarikat itu dijenamakan semula sebagai AirAsia Zest pada 18 September 2013.[38]

Pada 15 Ogos 2011, Filipina AirAsia menghantar pesawat baru yang pertama, sebuah Airbus A320 yang tiba di Clark International Airport di Clark, Angeles City, Pampanga. Pada 8 November 2011, Filipina AirAsia menyampaikan A320 keduanya. Pada 7 Februari 2012, syarikat penerbangan tersebut menerima Sijil Pengendali Udara[39] dari Civil Aviation Authority of Filipina yang memberikan kebenaran kepada syarikat penerbangan untuk terbang di ruang udara Filipina.

AirAsia X[sunting | sunting sumber]

AirAsia X ialah perkhidmatan baru oleh AirAsia X Sdn. Bhd. (dahulunya FlyAsianXpress Sdn. Bhd.) sebagai sebahagian francais AirAsia [40] yang menawarkan perkhidmatan jarak jauh dari Kuala Lumpur ( masa terbang lebih 4 jam ) menggunakan pesawat Airbus A330-300 atau Boeing 777-300 dengan tambang sekurang-kurangnya RM9.99 (tidak termasuk cukai dan caj lapangan terbang) [41]. Operasi AirAsia telah dilewatkan sehingga November 2007 kerana tiada pesawat yang dapat disewa dengan lebih awal. Apabila ia terbang kelak, ia bakal merangkumi tiga benua - Eropah, Asia dan Australia. Destinasi-destinasi dijangka termasuk Hangzhou dan Tianjin di China, Amritsar di India, Sharjah di Emiriah Arab Bersatu dan juga Manchester di United Kingdom.[42]

FlyAsianXpress pernah menjadi pengendali Perkhidmatan Penerbangan Luar Bandar di Sabah dan Sarawak yang dahulunya dikendali oleh Malaysia Airlines kepada syarikat baru bernama FlyAsianXpress (FAX). Ditubuhkan pada 1 Ogos 2006, penerbangan ini dimiliki secara swasta oleh pengurusan AirAsia. Selepaskan menamatkan perkhidmatannya pada 1 Ogos 2007, ia akan memfokuskan operasinya pada AirAsia X.

Kumpulan AirAsia beroperasi 400 penerbangan harian, dengan kedua-dua laluan tempatan dan antarabangsa meliputi Indonesia, Malaysia dan Thailand dan dengan laluan antarabangsa, terutamanya dari Kuala Lumpur, ke Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Kemboja, Republik Rakyat China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Filipina, Singapura, Sri Lanka, Taiwan (Republik China), United Kingdom, Korea Selatan dan Vietnam. Syarikat Penerbangan AirAsia memulakan pertukaran gradual pesawatnya dari Boeing 737-300 kepada Airbus A320-200, dengan tempahan pertama dibuat untuk 40 buah pesawat Airbus A320 dan 40 buah pesawat tambahan mengikut Memorandum Persefahaman yang diputuskan pada 17 Disember 2004. Apabila kontrak ditandatangani pada 25 Mac 2005, tempahan meningkat kepada 60 buah dengan 40 pilihan pertukaran.[536] 6 buah pesawat Airbus A320 telah dihantar pada 9 Disember 2005, dengan baki 54 buah pesawat dari tempahan tahun 2005 yang akan dihantar pada Jun 2009.[537]

Pada 19 Julai 2006, syarikat penerbangan ini telah berusaha dengan pilihan 40 buah pesawat Airbus A320-200 tambahan bagi meningkatkan jumlah tempahannya sebanyak 100 buah pesawat, dengan 30 pilihan pertukaran yang lain.[538] Ia membuat tempahan ke-3 dengan 50 buah pesawat A320-200 dan meningkatkan pilihan kepada 50 buah pesawat pada 8 Januari 2007, dengan jangka tempoh penghantaran dijangka selesai pada Disember 2013. Airbus A320-200 dijangka siap digantikan dengan pesawat Boeing 737-300 di hub penerbangan Air Asia di Kuala Lumpur pada Julai 2007.[539] Air Asia membuat tempahan terbarunya sebanyak 25 buah pesawat pada 25 November 2007, membawa kepada jumlah tempahan sebanyak 175 buah pesawat Airbus dengan 50 pilihan pesawat lama untuk pertukaran.[540][541]

Pada Ogos 2009, AirAsia sekali lagi menandatangani perjanjian dengan Airbus bagi menangguhkan penghantaran 8 pesawat Airbus A320s untuk tempoh 4 tahun hingga 2014 berikutan "kekangan infrastruktur" yang berlaku di Terminal Penerbangan Tambang Murah (LCCT) di Sepang kerana tidak mampu menampung peningkatan jumlah pesawat. Rasional kepada pengecutan kepada penghantaran pesawat pada tahun 2010 dan kemungkinan tahun 2011 adalah bagi membolehkan AirAsia untuk merancang dan memberi fokus kepada pesawat sedia ada dan bagi mengelakkan kos bercampur dengan pesawat yang tidak diguna atau dibawah pembaikan pesawat berikutan infrastruktur terhad, selain mengelakkan peningkatan perbelanjaan tanpa perolehan pendapatan. Kekangan infrastruktur dilihat berterusan berlaku di Terminal Penerbangan Tambang Murah KLIA-Sepang dijangka berakhir apabila Terminal penerbangan tambang murah baru atau KLIA 2 siap dibina kelak. Awal Februari 2009, Kerajaan Malaysia telah memberi kuasa veto kepada rancangan Air Asia untuk membina hub pangkalannya sendiri bernilai 460 juta dollar Amerika berdekatan KLIA East @ Labu.[542][543]

Pada Jun 2011 AirAsia telah menempah 200 buah pesawat Airbus A320neo pada Pertunjukan Udara Paris.[544][545] Ini merupakan tempahan tunggal terbesar dalam sejarah penerbangan komersial dunia. Pesawat yang ditempah dijangka ada pada 2015, dan deal ini adalah yang terbesar dalam sejarah tempahan pesawat komersial di dunia.[544] Perjanjian ini bernilai $18 bilion pada senarai harga, malah Air Asia akan mendapat diskaun atau harga istimewa dari tempahan berskala besar ini.[545] Seorang penganalisa ekonomi berpangkalan di Singapura iaitu Shukor Yusof berkata ikatan perjanjian ini membawa saingan sengit kepada Southwest Airlines milik Amerika Syarikat dan lalu membuatkan Air Asia sebagai Penerbangan tambang murah terbesar di dunia.[545][546] Ikatan ini juga membuatkan AirAsia sebagai pelanggan terbesar Airbus.[546]

AirAsia menawarkan menu "Santan", sebuah program beli dalam pesawat yang menawarkan makanan dan minuman untuk pembelian.[547] AirAsia diakreditasi oleh KL Syariah Index Bursa Malaysia, dan menurut hukum Syariah, ia tidak menjual alkohol atau babi. Walau bagaimanapun, ini hanya berlaku untuk penerbangan kumpulan AirAsia serantau, dan bukan untuk penerbangan AirAsia X, yang menjual wain dan bir di kapal.[548]

Program penerbangan kerap[sunting | sunting sumber]

AirAsia mengambil langkah pertama untuk memulakan sendiri program penerbangan kerap. Syarikat penerbangan itu telah menandatangani perjanjian untuk memulakan usaha sama dengan firma perkhidmatan kewangan Tune Money untuk melancarkan program yang disebut "BESAR". Di bawah program ini, ia akan memberikan mata setia kepada pelanggan AirAsia dan peniaga pihak ketiga. Mata kemudian boleh digunakan untuk menebus penerbangan AirAsia. [556]

Perkhidmatan dalam pesawat[sunting | sunting sumber]

AirAsia menawarkan "Snack Attack," satu program beli dalam pesawat penawaran makanan dan minuman untuk pembelian.[557] AirAsia diiktiraf oleh Indeks Syariah KL, dan sejajar dengan undang-undang Syariah ia tidak mengguna alkohol atau daging babi. Bagaimanapun, ini hanya bagi penerbangan-penerbangan serantau kumpulan AirAsia, dan tidak untuk penerbangan-penerbangan AirAsia X, yang menjual wain dan bir dalam pesawat.[558]

Indonesia AirAsia (QZ): Syarikat penerbangan anggaran telah memperluas rute domestiknya di Indonesia ke destinasi popular, seperti Bali, Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, dan banyak lagi.

AirAsia Malaysia (Berhad) (AK): Beberapa laluan domestik dilancarkan untuk menyokong usaha kerajaan Malaysia untuk meningkatkan perjalanan domestik.

Thai AirAsia (FD): Mulai 10 Ogos 2020, pesawat Thai AirAsia kini beroperasi dari Lapangan Terbang Suvarnabhumi dan Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Don Mueang.

Philippines AirAsia (Z2) : Mulai Julai 2020, Philippines AirAsia telah menambah lebih banyak laluan untuk penerbangan domestik, dan memperkenalkan semula laluan Manila - Kuala Lumpur - Manila untuk perkhidmatan antarabangsa.

AirAsia India (I5) : Syarikat penerbangan telah berkembang di rangkaian mereka dengan melancarkan laluan domestik baharu pada bulan Oktober.

Semua tetamu AirAsia diminta membawa pelitup muka sendiri dan memakainya sebelum, semasa dan selepas penerbangan. Kontroversi[sunting | sunting sumber]

AirAsia, syarikat penerbangan tambang rendah yang berpusat di Malaysia, menuduh Syarikat Penerbangan Singapura mempunyai standard dua kali ganda, ketika ia mendakwa bahawa Kerajaan Singapura berusaha untuk menjauhkannya dari pasaran Singapura, [560] walaupun belum ada kata rasmi bahawa membantah kemasukan Syarikat Penerbangan AirAsia. Sebagai gantinya, Syarikat Penerbangan Singapura telah menyambut [561][562] pembukaan laluan Singapura-Kuala Lumpur yang didominasinya bersama dengan Syarikat Penerbangan Malaysia Airlines [563] selama lebih dari tiga dekad, [564] menyumbang sekitar 85% daripada lebih dari 200 penerbangan frekuensi kemudian dikendalikan.
